The Healing Experience

Wellness Education

At Wellness Works LLC, we offer wellness education workshops that are designed to introduce participants to a holistic approach for self-care. By learning to take personal responsibility for your wellness, you can develop a sense of well-being and empowerment. 


Wellness is a positive approach to living that includes well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. As a result, participants can have more effective interactions in their personal partnerships, with friends, family, and the members of their community. Wellness involes learning to balance home , work and play.

Through our series of workshops, we hope to empower participants, increase their self-esteem,resiliency, and address social, life skill, and character development. The workshops are experiential and interactive, stimulating the senses.


Our wellness workshops promote a “safe space” atmosphere where participants can explore their own issues of levels of burden, emotional maturity, and lifestyle management.


Moreover, our “Healing Grab Bag” of workshops introduces individuals to different indigenous therapies, including:

Therapeutic Recreation

Recreation encourages cultural and community integration. Recreational therapy utilizes recreational and leisure  activities to help each participant tap into the “Playful Spirit”, to enhance their health, lifestyle, and manage personal challenges. This treatment modality is a nonthreatening, noninvasive means to address behavioral and health challenges. Our sessions are experiential and interactive with self reflective discussions.

                 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Restorative Practices is a collaborative, nonviolent form of communication. It positively influences human beings and promotes conflict transformation. The roots are deep in indigenous cultures exhibited in the circle process. Through conflict transformation and cooperative dialog, the  process can address bullying and conflicts between neighbors, families, friends, coworkers, and governments.


Restorative Practices is a peaceful, cooperative, and productive approach to dealing with wrongdoing. During the facilitation of our circle sessions, participants develop basic skills and techniques in communication , stress, and anger management that help reduce miscommunication. This process creates an opportunity for sustainable constructive change. These practices respond to real life challenges.
